On November 9th 2019 the AITG private Facebook community, Art in The Game and Cousin Vito’s Casino podcast listeners enjoyed their first official group casino meet up at MGM Springfield. “Thanks-Gambling” was a day filled with benefits, community gambling, private VIP parties, and amazing prizes. Hosted by Chris DiMauro of Art in the Game & Vito Marchitto of Cousin Vito’s Casino Podcast.  AITG members who wanted to stay the weekend were provided a discount room block all on the same floor. We had 78 registered players the day of the 8-hour event.  One of the night’s highlights our record-breaking group high limit slot pull inside the Knox lounge at MGM Springfield.

Check in began at early at 2:00 PM with VIP tier match welcome at Tap Bowling.  It took a while but our hosts Jae and her Mlife partner checked all of us in and many players were automatically upgraded to Pearl or higher depending on card level from competing casinos.  We also all enjoyed our first $15 drink on MGM while getting to know one an other.  Also due to the generosity of our welcome bag sponsors the first 70 attendees received gift bags.

At 5PM we all meet inside the Knox high limit room to cheer on the 62 participant’s of our record setting $6,200 group slot pull.  This portion of the evening may have been the most popular hour.  Vito lead us as we started on Top Dollar at $200 a pull! The first thousand went without any bonuses.  We then moved to Wheel of Fortune at $100 a pull again nothing big after a thousand coin in.  The then group decided to try Double Diamond Pinball at $75 a spin and we hit a $3000. hand pay!  Shortly another $2000. hand pay!

Then we headed to The Commonwealth Lounge for Vito’s Birthday celebration.  We ate cake and we got paid!  From now on Payday and Cake will be a part of Thanks Gambling!  As long as we win.

After which we finally had time for open gambling and reconvened at the back room at Cale Mare. We all participated in a gambling contest and there were to be 3 winners.  Eric won the table game prize of $500. in chips and Frank the slot prize of $500 in free play.  We also were all entered in a raffle drawing for a signed Patriot’s helmet with COA.  Our new member Bonnie won.

All in all the event was a huge success.  Friendships were made.  New games learned in a friendly atmosphere. We set a record together and had a lot of fun with like minded people.  Hey we all deserve a holiday just for adults who love the casino.  Now we have one Set your calendars for early November 2020.  You wont want to miss the 2nd annual Northeast gambling holiday!

2:00-3:30PM. VIP tier match check in and event registration with sponsored cocktail hour. Attendees with valid Free play offers at Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Atlantic City casinos up to $100 will get that same Free play matched for Thanks Gambling! This is where you will sign up for the Group High Limit Slot Pull. Members who sign up will receive $20 in Free Play. All Members will receive $15 drink coupon for the welcome party as well as sponsored welcome gift bags.

3:45-4:45 Tap lunch with Chris. I have about 25 seats reserved. Everyone can order of menu and pay for themselves.

5:00PM Group High Limit Pull inside Knox High Limit Room. Only those who have signed up for the slot pole and have an entry will participate. All others can observe.

6:00PM. Cousin Vito‘s birthday celebration inside of Commonwealth bar. Come and eat cake and sing happy birthday to my cohost Cousin Vito! Cake on us cash bar.

9:30-10:00PM. Grand finale party with prize giveaway! surprise location TBD.
